Join us for the 3rd annual Brazilian Day Canada a Free Concert at Yonge-Dundas Square on September 5th, 2011, Labour Day. Celebrate Brazil’s Independence Day two days early.
This festival celebrates Canada’s multiculturalism through one of the most vibrant cultures in the world. Through traditional music, dance and food, Brazilian Day Canada gives everyone, no matter what their cultural background a chance to be Brazilian for a day.
Last year more than 70 000 people gathered at Yonge-Dundas Square transforming the heart of Toronto into an ocean of green and yellow.
The festival will close Yonge Street from Dundas St to Shuter St.
Globo Television, the fourth largest network in the world and the powerhouse behind this international celebration will bring Brazilian superstars Exaltasamba television host Serginho Groisman.
Brazilian Day Canada is free event. In the tradition of Brazilian Carnival, there are limited number of tickets available for those who wish to be closer to the action. Known as the Camarote, these tickets include a special Brazilian Day Canada T-shirt, access to the licensed area and washrooms during the event.
